    Completed my microscope

    Back in 1963 I purchased my Leitz microscope with Steindorff eyepieces because of their excellent high eyepoint but through the years I always regretted not having an all Leitz instrument. Despite what I read about a change in focal length in 1965 the new eyepieces are quite par focal. Haven't tested image resolution yet but I am content that my microscope is "original".

    Super optics @ a super price

    There are some real bargains out there, if you’re looking to upgrade a microscope that uses DIN objectives and eyepieces. Just be sure what you buy (a) will fit your microscope, and (b) will focus properly (not all focusing tubes are the same length).
