All variants of the thieving, savvy, and stylish pale-skinned Nebari alien Chiana figures are an excellent addition to any Farscape collection. Chiana is definitely one of my favorites from the Toy Vault Farscape lineup. There are three variants available for Chiana, each pertaining to a separate lineup. History: The first from Series 1 is entitled "Chiana: Anarchistic Runaway." It features a blue pattern for the packaging and comes with a bladed weapon, handcuffs, and neck collar [which the Establishment + Salis used to keep her in restraint] The second figure, which is also from Series 1, is entitled "Chiana: Armed and Dangerous" and features a purple packaging scheme and comes with a gun (with a scope attached), handcuffs, and neck collar. This variant has a limited run of 30,000 pieces in terms of manufacture ratio. The third figure, which is also from Series 1, is entitled "Chiana: Escapee from Nebari Prime" and is an "Entertainment Earth" exclusive piece. This figure features Chiana in her first appearance from the episode entitled "Durka Returns." Additionally, the packaging now holds a red pattern. Furthermore, aside from including her handcuffs and neck-cuffs, the figure comes with a very unique cloak which she wears. This piece has a very limited run of 5,000 pieces as its production ratio. A fourth release of Chiana was also included in a limited SciFi.com exclusive boxed set featuring D'Argo, Zhaan, and Crichton along with her. The package also featured an exclusive bonus card and all the original accessories along with a unique background. Lastly, a prototype image of Chiana from the episode "Look at the Princess" was unveiled featuring a white outfit and a DrD but this figure was possibly never released as a mass ratio as a part of the Series One "Reunited" Edition figures. Farscape "Reunited," featured all new cloth outfits. Chiana "Look At The Princess" is seen wearing a white nightgown. It was supposedly available as an "Entertainment Earth" exclusive along with other "Reunited" series figures such as "Zhaan: Oralla," and "Crichton: I Do, I Think", but the actual production of this Chiana Reunited piece is inconclusive. Articulation: The figure holds the same articulation on all variants; her arms and legs have basic joints and her head has no neck joints to maneuver. The only drawback for the Chiana figure is specifically the knees as they are slightly bent in a crouching position. The figure's capacity for not being able to move her knees is the only detracting factor, which means she can only maintain this position as a collector piece. One hand features a grappling position while the other is in a pointing gesture, although both hands can be made to hold her accessories. The "Anarchistic Runaway" variant in specific has the gun, which can add detail to the piece. Detail + Paint Job: The Chiana figure in particular has a very catchy paint job. Her skin tone is spot on, featuring a slightly bright yet shadowy texture for her pale skin as well as a glossy tint for her cheeks and her back. The hair-line split also features some excellent shading and the bangs are also highly detailed, reminiscent of an airbrush technique with a nice shading effect. Rating: The Chiana figures are all 9/10 in terms of detail and 5/10 in terms of articulation. The "Chiana: Armed and Dangerous" variant is the second version of Chiana released and is a very unique piece; no collection is complete without this awesome figure.Read full review
