Tippi Hedren was the muse of Alfred Hitchcock. She was a novice actress, yet her screen presence is very compelling in every scene. Even when she isn't saying anything, you get taken in by her eyes and her emotions hidden just under the surface. It was especially revealing to first see the movie "Girl" starring Sienna Miller. It is the biographical story behind Tippi Hedren's short rise to fame and then disappearance back into obscurity. This was partly engineered by Alfred Hitchcock himself who always fancied an affair with all of his leading ladies (yet was never successful). Knowing the full back story of Sienna Millers outstanding movie and acting role only made the viewing of "Marnie" that much more enthralling. In the end, you can't help but root for Tippi Hedren, no matter how much you respect Hitchcock's genius at directing.Read full review
