Low budget often rings to mind the image of cheap production values, campy writing, bad direction and acting among other things; but in this case, Dog Soldiers steps above the traditional pitfalls of low budget cinema and delivers a movie that is not only enjoyable visually, but the writing quality is also above average. At times it's gritty and the suspense is well created. At other times the movie dialog can be humorous and intentionally so. All though the movie uses a very typical set up and execution for a horror movie, the subtleties are what would separate it from typical American low budget horror. For example music queues are used in a much more careful manner - not leading to a shock or scare, but instead mostly noticeable in calm moments to build tension. The creature costumes are fairly simple and if given the chance, could look hokey or out of place. Luckily, the style in which it is filmed is done in a way as to protect the integrity of the creature and rely more on what is not seen as much as seen in order to keep the audience's attention. All in all a good movie and for fans of British Horror a must have.Read full review
Best werewolf movie I have seen in quite a while. Characters are memorable and you actually come to like them. Werewolves are actually frightening and you get the feel of being trapped with the heroes. Definitely buy it.

This is an awesome werewolf movie my only complaint is the picture quality which is a little soft looking for a Blu-ray more like DVD quality, with a very HEAVY GRAIN added. Anyway definitely worth owning
