    Great tiny lens with a vintage rendering!

    Great tiny lens with a vintage rendering. Dreamy when fully open, pretty sharp starting from f4. Love to have it attached to my Leica every day. No quality issues that were mentioned in some forums, everything works correctly.

    I expect to use this lens regularly the rest of my life. It's incredible!

    This lens is absolutely astounding! It's razor sharp and has a very narrow depth-of-field on both my Leica MP and Leica M9P. Film shot with this lens often approaches digital in quality. Colors and dynamic range are amazing. One of the best lenses I've ever owned, if not the best. Yes, it's very expensive. However, when compared to the cost of a Noctilux, or to the quality of lenses half as much from different camera companies, it seems like a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, I now want the Noctilux, also.

    There is something special about Leitz glass

    I did not actually buy the aspherical lens, but the older, original 1.4/35mm Summilux (titanium finish). It is an extremely good lens, even today, although it's almost 20 years old. The seller did not advertise it as an ASPH and I knew exactly what I was buying. I have also tried the ASPH and found that it's a better lens fully open but there is no discernible difference once at f2.8 onwards.

    Awesome lens and a great improvement over the pre-asph model. I have not had any focus shift problems as some have described.
