    Good value for home use

    We bought a foreclosure, gutted. Restoring and fixing everything. Changing the grading in back yard, using this for too and now staking for Bobcat guy. This level came adjusted, I peg tested it and with short turns I completed a 1/2 mile 3 wire loop and closed 0.04'. That was way better than I expected. Best part is that I bought it for less than two days rent from my local tool rental place! Don't skimp on the tripod, use good technique and this tool works way better than expected. One review said cross hairs we're fuzzy. As with any level, adjust the eyepiece to focus the cross hairs and the front focus know to Sharpen the rod reading.

    Surprisingly Good Optics

    However this one has no use for the cross hairs are not visable . Even set up a white target. They appear when the focus is adjusted way off from when y can see the rod or target .Defective. Does it go back ? Didn't fill out warenty card yet.

    Plenty of level power for a contractor or for general use.

    I was looking for a transit type optical level for as little money as I had to spend since I owned an older model years ago and got rid of it because I seldom used it. It was a "flip over" style telescope and although quite old, it was still quite accurate but that accuracy depended on how well your setup was, as in how level you could get the instrument and maintain that level condition throughout the use of it at that location. Now new technology has built in level compensator and for the life of me I can't see why anything else but one of these auto-level scopes would ever be wanted anymore. They are truly an accurate and fool proof level and with 24x magnification they work quite well for short distance use around a job site or location where you can easily see 500-750' to the rod-man. ...
