NCAA March Madness returns to PlayStation 3 with more than 70 classic squads from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, revamped player models, and new authentic arenas. Brad Nessler and Dick Vitale are back for play-by-play commentary and analysis, while Erin Andrews makes her debut with up-to-the-minute sideline reports. A new "Dynamic Post Control" feature has players chaining together hook spins, drop steps, pump fakes, up-and-unders, and other seamless moves on both sides of the ball.

Other changes include custom playbooks for each team and custom online leagues. Visual enhancements like form-fitting uniforms or breakaway rims add to the atmosphere, as crowds chant school fight songs and influence on-court composure. Team Intensity Control is a momentum-based meter that builds during hot streaks and breaks down with poor play. When the meter is full, teams can initiate an "impact moment" to temporarily boost performance, intimidate the rival team, or pump up the crowd.

The multi-season Dynasty Mode is back with added detail. Simulated games can be interrupted at any point and switched to manual control, while both preseason and postseason versions of the 32-team National Invitation Tournament are playable. The McDonald's High School All American game is also included, along with new recruiting and alumni challenges. EA's exclusive relationship with ESPN lets players access ESPN.com, receive score updates via ESPN Sports Ticker, and listen to ESPN Radio.

Solid College Basketball Title
NCAA March Madness is a great title with solid play control. Graphics are an A+. For those who love dynasty modes, this game offers a fantastic, realistic simulation of the college basketball process. Recruiting is in-depth and relatively easy to do. You select your target list of players and go after them by scouting, contacting, and offering a deal. (There are so many options in how to scout/recruit - it's really fun.) Your schedule is created and can be modified (if the teams will accept your invites.) The controls take a little while to get used to, but fairly easy to catch on. The one negative is the camera views. They have about 5 or 6 and I don't really love any of them, but again - something you get used to. Oh, and players start with just positions and numbers - not names. I switched my team but don't think there is a "global" change to names options. Overall, a quality game.Read full review

This game is very authentic, and I like it overall. However, I wish it had more and better handling moves with the analog stick. But, it's pretty decent for the price I payed.

NCAA March Madness 08 has a plethora of rich details that brings the college game to life, including new authentic arenas, new player models with form-fitting uniforms, breakaway basketball hoop rims, and the ability of players to slap the backboard on layups. The game also features custom playbooks for each team through the Floor General Playcalling system, the EA SPORTS Lockdown Stick that enables your players to pressure the ball, force turnovers and harass opponents on the court, a deeper Dynasty Mode that lets you build your school into a national powerhouse, the Pre and Post season NIT and the McDonald's High School All American game and an online feature set that includes customized leagues and ESPN on Demand.
