great communication, packaging, good timing, and I appreciate the care into packaging with the way shipping companies are now it’s awful so it means the world to us collectors as the box is just as important as what’s inside it, almost hahah. thank you and take care - Jonny

Older Digital Camera for Current Photography Needs

Camera is easy to learn and quite capable for wildlife cataloging and viewing. Video processes are smooth. Accessories are still easy to find. Great on a tripod, as well. Recommend Nikon Coolpix P100/P500 for those just learning or on a budget.

  • Good camera

Great all around camera. Takes nice pics and surprisingly good video too. If you plan to use the full 26x zoom then a tripod is a must for clear photos, at that range a steady hand simply isn't enough prevent blurred photos. You can get a good tripod for around $20-$30. Also worth considering is an external battery charger. You can get a charger with 2 extra batteries for less than $20. Perfect for the average consumer. Not SLR quality, but not SLR price either. Price is a little high but worth it, and there are good deals to be had on this camera if you shop around too. I've wasted money on lesser cameras and had sub par results as well. I have two small boys who are NEVER still and have had a hard time taking good photos with other cameras. This camera has the response ...

  • Great High-End Point-and-Shoot

The Nikon P100 includes 10.3 MP, 26x zoom, an electronic viewfinder, up to 10 frames per second, full HD (1080p) video, high-speed video, a pop-up flash, face-tracking, smile-detecting, and continuous sport modes, and a pull-out screen. This is a great camera with lots of great features. It looks and feels like a small DSLR, except for manual zoom. The electronic viewfinder is good for keeping the camera steady, and this camera is also a great video camera. The only thing lacking about this camera is the photo quality. It's acceptable, but noise and soft edges appear when you're zoomed in a lot. This camera is not very small, but its not too big and its not very heavy. I would recommend this camera to amateur photographers looking for a relatively cheap entry-level DSLR type ...

  • Well worth the price. Shop for one!!

Excellent camera and value. Simple to use and has lots more features than I will ever use. you could spend three times as much on a new camera and not have all the features or quality this camera has.

  • Not Bad For The Price

This camera has amazing zoom capabilities but if you want to try to take professional pics i.e., pictures of your toddler sitting in his favorite chair with a black sheet hanging behind him while he's wiggling back and forth will not produce sharp images. Any fast movement of the "subject" will have a blurry effect. I was mislead and a little disappointed in that feature but happy with the rest of the camera. It does take rather good pictures for the average/ learning-to-be-a-pro picture taker and with its 4 second shutter response, you can take continuous pics quite frequently. We'll keep this camera until we upgrade to an SLR camera ($1000 and up) and if I stay happy with this model then I'll buy within the Nikon family. So far, not bad for the money.
