Versatile product for my needs.
I use it to attach a powerful flashlight to a lever action rifle which is not the typical use for it, but it works great. The lever rifle is a 24" barrel (with full ammo tube under the barrel) .357 Magnum with enough power, accuracy and reach to shoot coyotes in a large field behind my country property without the possibility of too much lethal distance from high powered ammo like .223/5.56, 308, etc. There's a road about a 1/4 mile past the narrow woods behind the field and can't safely take shots when the coyote is on the ridge of the field where they usually travel. It's the same thing as hunting deer with a straight sided handgun cartridge to reduce lethal distance. This mount enables a powerful light to be mounted in-line with the barrel needed to see the coyotes up to about 150 yards ... Didn't work for me
I couldn't use this clamp for my intended application which was to mount a 1" flashlight on a 30mm scope. I had to disassemble the clamp to get the jaws wide enough for both tubes. While tightening the clamp, I discovered that the front of the flashlight was touching the front of the scope which has a 42mm objective, preventing secure tightening. The offset of this device in not adequate from my application. It would probably work for mounting a flashlight on a rifle barrel. The clamp seems to be well built, but I wouldn't buy another. There are other, less expensive solutions for my application.I couldn't use this clamp for my intended application which was to mount a 1" flashlight on a 30mm scope. GOOD FOR ABOUT ANYTHING
I use this mount for shotguns and it works really good. Keeping the light within reach of the thumb or index finger when mounted just ahead of the fore grip on the barrel. However,it is only for 1 inch barrel flashlights or slightly smaller. Finger tighten only. It may move forward with the recoil so use a short wrap of duct tape just forward of the clamp on the gun barrel and that solves that. Nothing is perfect and perfect is the enemy of good enough. I gave it 5 stars for ease of use and mounting and durability. I have had some mounted for years without a problem.I use this mount for shotguns and it works really good. Very decent
It securely mounts my nitecore Mh12 to the mag tube of my Mossberg 590. I'm not sure the rail on the side will be of any use for a laser as the mount itself can move if bumped. The build is solid. Effective and inexpensive.

This product is very well constructed and simple to attach to gun and flashlight, my barrel is a little smaller in diameter and to get a good grip I used a small piece of rubber( from roofing Membrane) to take up the slack and it now fits tight, no movement, don't try to over stress the threaded cam lock, get it tight, and if the fit needs a little shim try this method.
