I got this movie because it the third movie in the series "Myatery Woman". The other tow titles are "Mystery Murder Weekend" & "Snapshot". I have enjoyed watching the lead actress from her first job on "Life Goes On", a TV series, in the (?) 1980's or 1990's. Following that she had a approximately 20 episode of "Christie", with Tyne Daly. After viewing the other two episodes of this series, I had to get this one. The premise is a folk-singing group that was popular in the 1960's & 1070's has come back together - a husbend/wife couple & one additional male singer/guitar player. The man who is acting as their manager gets murdered. Who killed him? The husband/wife couple have a grown son, who is a lawyer in California & he comes to the scene when the manager is found murdered, summoned ... The plot takes seveal turns & twists & when the real murderer is revealed, only then could the viewer say "Oh, so that's why he did it". I won't spoil any further - watch the fim.

Good fun watching
We initially checked out these films because we enjoyed Kellie Martin in the Christy series. She is just as fun to watch in this series and the other actors are great as well. Clarence Williams, Jr. is fantastic as Martin's sidekick in the bookshop and his undercover spy experience lends interesting detail and information to each DVD. They are suspenseful, but not so convoluted that you lose the plot along the way. The action moves along quickly and does not drag on with unnecessary clues and extraneous material. There is just enough tension between the "amateur sleuth" and the local police chief to keep their interaction exciting. My teenage daughter and I can enjoy these together without fear of language or inappropriate actions - but they are not "prudish" ...
