    not well designed

    The bendable diffuser in this set has a major design flaw: the white side is made of a very soft (non-rigid) material that is not attached to the backing except at the edges. As a result, it tends to wrinkle and drape awkardly instead of forming a nice, flat surface to evenly reflect/diffuse light. Making matters worse, for some reason, air tends to be drawn inside the diffuser, causing the white material to balloon like a pillow. You have to squeeze the air out before using the diffuser. The attached picture shows about the best that I can do to make the surface flat. I'm concerned that this device just doesn't diffuse as well as it would if the surface were more even. On the bright side, the bendable "bones" on the inside do a good job of supporting the diffuser while allowing it to ...
