    Bolt Extractor

    I never write reviews but was so amazed by this extractor set I felt I had to. I used them to remove a sump plug from my car, it had been totally rounded off and there wasn't much left of it. it was so tight I ended up using a meter long bar on the socket handle, so much force was needed the handle of the socket bent. The drain plug came undone with out the extractor losing grip I expected the extracting socket to be finished. I hammered the bolt out of the socket and there is hardly a mark on it. So happy with this purchase .

    Good value set of 11 metric extractors but may not suit high torque applications

    This set of 11 extractors comes in a hinged box and is fairly well presented. It will probably be OK for lightly torqued damaged bolts/Nuts, however when I used the 19mm extractor with a large wrench (to get the torque required) on a rather tight wheel nut, the extractor wall fractured, rendering the extractor useless. Not sure if this due to poor manufacture, the type of die cast metal used or trying to apply pressure slightly off centre. I then used a more expensive URWIN extractor of the same size and was able to loosen the nut without any problems.

    Awesome - Get some!

    How on earth have I managed all these years without a set of these!! Struggled with a beaten up rounded bolt for more than 2 hours trying to remove my mower blade. Attempted all the usual methods including a blow torch, all without the slightest hint of success, so gave up. Found these and ordered. OMG!! Within 10 seconds the nut was off. Now consider these as an essential (and favourite) item in my toolbox.

    Cobra 11 piece bolt and nut remover set.

    Took 2 hours 2 remove the collars on my mk2 Focus security wheel nuts, then lost a socket removing the first round nut. I then decided to purchase this kit to remove the rest. Arrived about 1pm and the 3 other nuts were off and the new nuts on the car by 1.10pm. It really was that quick. Very good little set and and Wish I had brought one of these years ago.
