As you hold the Kershaw Volt in your palm, notice the bead-blasted finish from the tip to the end. Check the .12-inch-thick blade's smooth razor-sharp edge with its high hollow grind. This grind preserves the tip strength and rigidity. You are also able to feel the comfortable finger notches along its handle, which are designed to give you a sturdier grip. The ambidextrous flipper works with Kershaw's Speedsafe assisted opening technology. The mechanism quickly deploys the blade with a satisfying click. It also acts as a guard. A torsion bar on the back keeps it from accidentally opening. The notching on the thumb ramp offers support on top and provides outstanding control for detailed work. The Volt II's open-assisted mechanism works solidly and quickly. The design enables a user to open and close the knives with one hand. Notice the drop point on the wedge-shaped blade and the sweeping belly of the knife. The liner lock is a relatively thick lock bar. Push on the slightly jimped lock bar to disengage the blade. With its frame locking system, this knife remains open for functional applications, including intricate woodwork and cutting needs. There is no blade play in this tight little knife, and the blade is well centered. The low carry pocket clip reverses to allow tip-down or tip-up storage and deep concealment. It sports an unusual pattern and clips the knife securely. Whether the Kershaw knife is open or closed, enjoy its compact width and satisfactory weight. It weighs only 3.4 ounces and is only .5-inch thick. The blade sports a 3.8-inch ergonomic Polyimide handle.     high quality

    I was skeptical about buying this knife because it's made in China, most of the reviews for it were good so I took a chance, I am glad I did, the quality is excellent, the steel used for the blade is hard and tough and will hold an edge for a long time. The operation of the knife is flawless and easy to operate and the finish is top notch as if it was made in the US. If you are thinking about purchasing this knife you should believe the positive reviews.

    Made in China.

    Some of kershaw knives are made or said to be made in the USA...this one is made in China. The quality is good. If you are shopping for a USA made product avoid this brand. Its light weight. A friend of mine has one and he takes care of his stuff..a top craftsman as well...said his is rusting after a year. The price is right for a disposable knife if that be the case. The Leek model and chive are good everyday carry use....this one is heavier so if looking for a lighter carry id go with those...mine are supposedly made in the USA. This one is stamped China on the blade. USMC Vet.

    fantastic knife for the price

    I own several of these knives. They are super sharp and have (I believe) free lifetime sharpening. These are sturdy in the hand yet narrow enough to slide into any pocket comfortably. Also, because it is stainless, it is very easy to clean. They flick open perfectly. I really, really love these knives.

    Amazing

    Since I received the knife I absolutely love and adore it, I bought the Kershaw Volt and Zing as good quality kick around knives for work etc. but love the finish and edge retention so much can’t stand to see them get dirty.. silly I know but super sharp and amazing quality! Highly recommended from a picky knife connoisseur!

    Great knife, but not super sharp out of the box

    The overall construction of this knife is great, but the blade was a bit dull. No beading or anything, just not sharp enough. It’s been to my local knife guy now and works great. Excellent value for the price in a great form factor. Thanks!
