this revived a dead scooter battery that had only 2v in it and been sitting for over a year on a project scooter i bought. i can say the repair mode on this charger worked better and easier than expected. all i did was hook it up, plugged it into the wall outlet and pressed the mode button to select repair and let the charger do the rest. i checked the charger every now and then, it finally turned off after 24 hrs and when i checked the voltage it was 12.8v! it not only automatically repaired the battery but it also charged it up too! this one battery it fixed has paid for the charger! Battery charger overcharges battery.
The charger boasts some impressive features. Automatically switching to float charge was what sold me on it. Unfortunately I have yet to see it do this. Instead the batteries continue to overcharge causing warm temperatures of battery housing. I have to disconnect it before it causes damage. I originally wanted to keep it connected thinking it would shut off automatically when battery is fully charged. So far it doesn't do this and I am thinking about returning it. For the price I expected junk, but it worked really well. I tested it on a 12volt 18ah SLA battery and two separate 12volt 100ah AGM batteries and it brought back an old automotive 12volt size 35 battery. The display shows the current and voltage with tenths of an amp it actually does regulate voltage as current drops until full charge where it shuts off completely and monitors the battery. I'll be getting more for my fleet of off-road/on-road antiques. I have three being used now. For the price I expected junk, but it worked really well.
