This vacuum cleaner is probably the best one I've owned so far. It is easily maneuvered left to right, and back and forth. There are hooks to wind the cord, and easily drop the cord too. What I really love about this vacuum is that it has a two system washable filter. There is a tight weaved dust filter, and a foam dust filter that fits over it. They wash very well, and dry quickly (by the next day). There is also a long hose and attachments to clean drapes, stairs, or upholstery, or even cobwebs. I would like to have an automatic brush cleaner, but this one you have to clean manually by unscrewing the brush assembly to thouroughly clean it. All in all, it is an affordable vacuum with a convenient, economical, washable filter.

The vacuum cleans very well. However, while it may be easy to remove the red handle to empty the dirt cup, it's VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCK IT BACK INTO PLACE! And, I don't like having to step on the FRONT of the actual vacuum while also having to step on the foot pedal on the BACK of the vacuum in order to release the handle into the reclining position. VERY AWKWARD!

On the plus side, it is very powerful, as it handles the dirt and dog hair extremely well. Some say that this vac is loud, but I don't believe it is any noisier than any other vac. My last vac had an auto retrieval cord where this one doesn't, but I knew that before buying. It is a small pain, but still a pain none the less. I was a bit disappointed in the smaller amount of area coverage (width) opposed to some other vacs. It means having to run back and forth more often to cover the area to be cleaned. The main problem for me is the dirt cup and filter. Most all the time, dirt and dog hair get hung up around the filter, and do not drop down into the cup. This creates a mess when you have to open from the top, instead of just dumping from the bottom. You have to twist open the top, remove the debris by hand, and then clean the filter before replacing into the cup. My old Hoover was a lot better at dumping just from the bottom, and the filter could be used 4-5 times before cleaning with an air hose. If you buy one of these, I would recommend buying another filter set (about $10 on Ebay), so that after cleaning you can remove one set for cleaning and mount the second one for use while the first one dries. Other than the cup/filter thing, I would recommend it, especially if you live in a smaller home or apartment.Read full review

An absolutely amazingly efficient and effective vacuum!!!! I will buy another just in case they stop producing this model. Lightweight! Easy to use! And cleans carpets to the “new” look. Great, great, great product!!!!

This Dirt Devil vacuum is lightweight but very powerful. It has an flexible extension that allows you to reach high areas... I put that to work the first day I had it. And, bagless vacuums are the best, this canister is easy to detach and empty. You won't be disappointed with this vacuum.
