    One of the Best Musical Movies.

    Well done musical movies like Xanadu are just not made today. I love this movie since I watched it for first time in 1980. Its first level rock music and choreography are simply great. Olivia's voice was made for singing that music. And Electric Light Orchestra's sound takes you to that wonder fantasy world that everybody dreams to be and and enjoy. Mixing Jeff Lynne's talent and Olivia's voice was something that is not gonna get back to repeat in the musical movies's history.

    Music was more better.

    Never saw this movie until I got this dvd. I had the soundtrack. A few decades later I finally sat down with my granddaughter who is 23 years old. She enjoyed the movie but the movie for me is just plain hokey. I was a fan of Olivia due to grease but never like any of her other movies. Like I said the music is what made this movie bearable.

    Great movie mixing old with new.

    All tough this movie was released years ago, while watching, younger generation ( 15 to 21 ) enjoyed it as much as the older ones watching. They all became more interested when the movie was paused, so it could be explained what a muse was.Great

    Awesome movie - DVD is the only way to go.

    I'm not going to review the movie itself, there's not enough space here for that! It's a wonderful old flick that never got the credit it deserved. I'd been enjoying it on VHS for all these years, then finally got around to upgrading to this DVD. Wow! I can't believe the difference in picture quality, not to mention the sound. So many details were vivdly brought out that I never could have imagined. This is what it must've been like on the silver screen in 1980. I highly recommend this DVD, not just for the movie, but also for the behind the scenes interviews. Definitely a wise purchase if you're an old fan, or new to this gem of a time capsule.
