A pretty good kids movie, but I liked it. You will too!
Well, despite the fact that there aren't really any big names in this feature it still plays well. It is one of Full Moon's PULSEPOUNDER features. Made for the Youth market, because the main characters are kids, who over act a little, but this was a cheap purchase so who's complaining?

No Mystery That This Flick Is Mildly Monstrous Fun
Typical Full Moon feature but with a kid cast and all the gore, swearing and sex taken out (but then most of their films would be suitable for children if you did that...and that's not such a bad thing!). It's a shame that Charles Band was forced to sell off all the "Pulsepounders!" and related kid fantasy flicks during the last economic downturn because he could have made major money renting them out to the Family Channel and other Disney-style networks. They're certainly no worse and usually a LOT more entertaining than "Hanna Montana"! This one is a good case in point. The script is clever and the acting good, especially from the pair playing the evil alien queen Mara and her hulking homicidal henchman Groon with the latter in his thick 'Boris Badenov' accent having to constantly ... As for the tiny trio of title creatures, well, obviously they're just sub-"Ghoulies"-style rubber puppets (with one of them played by an uncredited J.W. Perra in uncomfortably thick-looking latex make-up for the close-ups), but would you REALLY have preferred to see them done in low budget nineties CGI? I doubt this film will ever be released on DVD, but if you still have a VCR (and your kids still know what one is!), I can recommend it as good light entertainment for family fantasy fans.
