      The psych in full effect

      The Black Angels have that old vibe but translate it to now perfectly. It hooks you right in with You On The Run and Doves, then weaves the psychedelic vibes well throughout, with good variety. The pressing is flawless. And here's a great bonus... 2 extra songs on the back of Side E, from the Black Angel Exit EP, Surf City (Revisited), and Paladin's Last Stand. A very nice surprise, making it even more worth the money.

      Excellent psychedelic rock album from start to finish

      The Black Angels' second studio album hits you right in the mind with "Directions To See A Ghost". Creative use of maracas and tambourines on tracks like On The Run and and Mission District give them a distinct mysterious, almost haunting sound to them. The sixteen minute marathon of a song Snake In The Grass really allows your mind to open up and fall into the wavelengths of the song. If you love psychedelic rock, look no further than this album.
