Product Information
The evil Terracom corporation has struck a deal with alien forces to eradicate populated areas on key planets. This initiative has been named Project Overkill. As one of four mercenaries hired to protect the citizens, you must destroy hordes of alien forces while getting to the root of Terracom's nefarious purposes. Choose from a demolitions expert, a genetic hybrid, an alien weapons specialist, and a special ops assassin. The action is viewed from an isometric perspective, where your objective is to destroy anything and everything that moves. Spanning over 50 levels (including hidden areas), the game will have you infiltrating research buildings, laboratories, and blood-soaked alien territories.
The mercenaries come equipped with a large arsenal of weapons, including chain guns, mobile mines, concussion and frag grenades, laser rifles, flamethrowers, and recoilless rockets. View your surroundings with a map screen that also displays your current mission and how close you are to achieving your objectives. Solve various puzzles by finding cardkeys to unlock doors, flipping wall switches, and using retinal scanners with enemy eyes. One block of memory card data is needed to save mission progress. The M-rated Project Overkill in not for the squeamish: your kills will leave behind blood spatter on walls, mutilated corpses, and blood-soaked footprints as you walk across decimated bodies.
This game is pretty old.The object of the game is to run around, shoot people, and find key cards. That's really all there is to it.The graphics are dated, and the gameplay can get very repetitive.Still if your looking for some basic gameplay, and violence then project overkill delivers. If you don't want to pull your hair out in frustration, then I reccommend using cheat codes for this game.I mean I like challenging games but this is ridiculous.Enemy often swarm the screen, and your health depletes way to fast.Plus you have to shoot at an angle.Running away dosen't help much either, espically in the later levels. This isn't the worst game I ever played,it just has a sort of been there done that feeling.
Very gruesome! But depending on what you look for in games, that may or may not be a bad thing. The controls are different, but become fun once you get used to them. The death animations of enemies are very smooth and realistic. Especially for its time. Kind of disturbing really... Virtually no story but hey, you don't play this game for story. You play it to kill bitches. And thats what this game is good at.
Very fun, challending; maybe a bit repetitive. Definitely worth playing
It has challenging game pkay, some would say repetitive after while. Control is not the best, but the music and gameplay and insane difficulty more than make up for it!
