Bing Crosby Shines With Jazz Greats
On this CD, Bing Crosby performs with Louis Jordan, Connee Boswell, Joe Sullivan and Bobby Sherwood, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Dorsey, Jack Teagarden, Eddie Condon, Lionel Hampton, Lee Wiley, Woody Herman, and younger brother Bob Crosby. Bing was an excellent musician who could handle just about any genre of music, and it's good to hear him singing with these jazz greats. This CD includes interesting liner notes about Crosby and his "jazz friends," as well as background information about the songs. Some of my favorite tracks are "My Baby Said Yes," "Basin Street Blues," "Yes, Indeed!" "Someday, Sweetheart," "After You've Gone," and "Gone Fishin'." I recommend this CD to Bing Crosby fans who want to expand their collection of Bing's recordings. About half of the twenty tracks are easy to ... A pleasant record for the nostalgicer
The record contains a row of pleasant melodies contributed by the legendary crooner Bing Crosby. Since I have some of the tunes on 78:s I thought it would be nice to have them easy playable.

It is something that I can sing along with and I love the rag music. It is from a much simpler time and you can understand the words.
