Excellent Product
This is my 3rd Kindle 8.9 HD FIRE and am pleased with price, performance, storage, HD quality and ease of use. My wife and I both love the tablet/game features. They go with us everywhere. Works great as an office wireless video surveillance monitor.

Good unit if you want to live in the Amazon Community!
I bought this for my wife, because it was what she wanted for her birthday. It has very good graphics, is quick and the sound is good for it's size. For most people the kindle HD is all you could ask for, but for myself I would not buy it because you have to put up with all the Amazon crap. Amazon made this unit as a marketing tool for their products and works very hard at restricting you from getting outside their circle. And with that issue and you can not upgrade or extend memory, it has it's limitations. Having said all that, it is a good unit if you want to live within the Amazon Community and understand the limitations. My problem is I don't like limitations and restrictions. If you understand this and want a good reliable tablet, than I would recommend the one. One other thing I ... I bought this for my wife, because it was what she wanted for her birthday. A great, AFFORDABLE tablet.
I have had my eye on the Kindle Fire for a couple of years now. I finally broke down and bought the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" primarily as an entertainment source for my 5 y/o during 600 mile trips to see family several times a year. I have to say that other than a less-than-stellar battery life, I love this thing! Now, I am old enough that I was not raised on gadgets, so I don't need the latest and greatest device. However, I think that this tablet is equipped to do everything that you want, from watching HD videos from the cloud or downloaded to the device, to silly gaming apps, to emails, to reading e-books. It's a bit heavier than I was prepared for, but I had no idea what to expect, either. The screen size on the 8.9" is perfect. I do wish that there was some ability to customize the look ... I have had my eye on the Kindle Fire for a couple of years now. Kindle Fire HD~ Newest Version~One of my Best Buys
I was just sitting here thinking why not write a review on my kindle. Personally I love it. I received it for Christmas. I personally love it due to being able to do everything I want to do just as on my laptop, I think the only thing you cant do is play the actual games on Facebook directly from the website. "{Like farmville, you can only play the express mode} That is the only thing that the iPod has over this item. This is a great size, not to big, not to small, perfect. I can also save files to my kindle from my college and access them from my app "officesuite". I have noticed that there is a camera but, you have to upload a camera app in order to use the camera. Also there is no option to reverse the camera, such as front view or back view. There is only a front view, not something to ... I was just sitting here thinking why not write a review on my kindle. Excellent sound, but you cant upload wallpapers, there is no option to change a wallpaper, screensaver or anything. I am still searching to be able to change the fonts. Excellent picture, excellent video, and like I said the sound is great. Reading a book is just wonderful, you can dim the screen if needed. There are anti virus's you can upload to protect your kindle, a good one is "lookout". You will receive notifications just like a phone. You can upload skype, and textplus to keep in contact with friends, plus all social sites. You can shop, play games, read books, play music, and upload music, watch video's, read newspapers, magazines, surf the web, and go into websites just like your laptop would, upload photos, documents, and they will send cute little offers if you want to grab them up. Lock screen, password protected. There are also beautiful kindle covers, cute little pens, screencovers.

Great screen; excellent features, and very good price.
Debated on getting a Kindle, but this one was in v.g. condition, and I won the auction at a great price..Now, over a year later, it is still working perfectly. Really excellent picture and resolution! My primary use is Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, plus the occasional Kindle ebook. It functions beautifully in all departments!
