New feature.
Works fine. It operates the dvd tray and my Sony TV. The remote which came with this dvd player did not operate the dvd tray. I can turn my TV off and on. I can adjust TV volume. I can choose the TV input.

Beware of imitations!
All functions work perfectly. This is a real Sony- imitations I have seen indicated to use AAA batteries- those rattle around inside, but real Sony indicates AA in the battery compartment, and those work perfectly.
