I used the chain link removal/install tool two times, and it did not work well. It did a good job of pushing the pin out, but not back in. The tool, opposite the push pin, does not hold the chain firmly in the correct position, as it the chain to move around. As a result, the pin does not go completely back in place. Instead it goes in about halfway, and then the link bends outward; , I had to used a pair of small vice grips to get it all the way in.

Rear Wheel Broken Spoke Cluster Gear Side
Originally thought the tool to remove the fastener was the bright shiny thing then rummaged around and found the correct one (black) for my ancient specialized. Used the quick release skewer to hold the socket in place. It worked! I removed the plastic chain guard permanently, replaced the spoke, reassembled tube, tire, cluster gear and was on my way.

Low grade sprocket remover!!!!
The most important part of the kit is the sprocket remover. As you ride a bicycle, the rotation of the wheel continually tightens the sprocket. This tool is a very low quality cast metal tool that lost all of the teeth as soon as I put any pressure on it. The rest of the tools will do what you need them to, but again without the main tool most people buy the kit for, it is worthless. I hope this saves someone else the pain of losing money, waiting and still not being able to ride your bike.The most important part of the kit is the sprocket remover. You get what you pay for.
This tool kit is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. Was I able to get the job done with the tools (yes). Did some of the threads strip / teeth chip on the tools (Yes). If I were doing these repairs every day I would buy the professional tools. For a once and done project with minimal investment, they worked.
