They came melted. Seemed intact other than that but don’t have a good/strong smell. Could they have been old?

Have sold over 100 of this scent, and thousands of wax melts over the past 16 years. If you leave wax in a mailbox for 2 WEEKS like you did in the heat, then yes they are going to melt. That is just common sense, which apparently you lack. Ship hundreds of melts in the middle of summer in 120+ degree temps and have never had an issue. Next time don't leave wax in a hot mailbox for 2 weeks.
