About this product

Product Information

A wonderfully crisp script and quick-paced direction distinguishes this film about an alien creature discovered near an Arctic outpost. Members of a scientific research team cart the frozen pilot back to camp where it thaws out--much to their regret.

  • The thing on VHS colorized version. So far there's no DVD colorized version

It's really a nice version of the thing for once we get to actually see what the thing looks like in color but,.. my only complaint is that half a scene is missing from this version. Which is truly the company's fault in doing so when they recorded this version.. and it's the scene that follows after they brought the thing back on ice and the captain set up the watch hours for guarding the thing.. there's a scene that follows that when the captain is in the cruise bunk room and he's shining his shoes and talking with his co-pilot that's lying down on the bunk talking about how the scientists are acting like school kids fussing over a new fire engine well that scene is completely missing and it jumps all the way to the scene that follows that when one of his crewmen comes in and speaks with ...

  • The Thing

The Thing is a 50's ovie that will STILL scare the pants ff you! Turn down the lights and let the movie sweep you into a mititary base that is overcome by a HUGR "THING", James Arness. The music alone is perfect and the script and acting are wonderful. Remember, Channel 9's "Million Dollar Movie"? Well, get the popcorn and snuggle on the couch with your best girl and dog, and all three of you wikk be putting your hands over your eyes. ENJOY! jamerman12
