    Great travel tripod & monopod

The Mefoto A1350Q1 tripod is very stable and relatively compact. It is not the lightest out there but it is very stable foot is weight. Additionally, one of the legs detaches so that you can attached the center post and ball mount onto it to use as a monopod. I found this versatility to be very useful. In fact the monopod did double duty as a walking stick while on a hike during a trip to Alaska. The monopod was very dependable as a walking stick and it only took a second to attach my DSLR to it when I wanted to use it for photography.

  • Decent tripod for the money, there's lots of junk out the for more money

It's not a hardcore tripod but it's light enough for travel and has some cool features ,if using a big lens and any height recommend hanging your back pack or small weight on for extra stability ,just as a precaution

  • Perfect travel size

I have a couple of Manfrotto's -my favorites ones. Nevertheless the A1350Q1K mimics the sturdiness of those but in a compact way and gives you the ability to carry it in your back pack. Although it my be a little heavier than the carbon, the weight actually helps better for stability, in my opinion.

  • Wow! Fantastic travel tripod!!

Fit right into my carry-on suitcase. Already has a Kirk connection plate!!! Totally perfect for my purpose. Was shooting DSLR w/ 70-200 tripod-mounted lens.

  • It's a nice tripod.

Seems like it's going to be a good tripod. It comes up to a good height where you can look in the viewfinder without bending over. I have never used this leg locking system before, but it seems reasonably quick to deploy. It's not as stiff as some of my studio tripods, which is an unreasonable expectation of a portable. My understanding is that it would have been more stiff in carbon fiber but at twice the cost. I got it in aluminum because as a travel tripod I worry about it getting stolen.
