Buy OEM Always!
Knockoffs have wrong sizes, they don't last a year in the AZ sun, poorly made, cheap materials. That is what you get when you DO NOT buy OEM! The Coolaroo OEM cover costs maybe $3-$5 more than a knockoff, but lasts 2-3 years, compared to 6 months, so do the math, how many do you buy in 3 years? SIX? or ONE? Coolaroo covers are heavy duty, well stitched, still hard to install, but that is a condition of the design. When I finished installing two new covers, the dogs circled me during the assembly, waiting to see which one could get the first one! As soon as I put it down, they were on it and when the winner got his, they came back to me, circling as I replaced the second cover. Wash, rinse, complete! On it!! This is a good value but it's fairly easy for a destructive dog to tear. It took my lab about two days to tear it in one area after we watched him to make sure he didn't get to it! Since you can't watch a dog 24/7 he got to it about two days after we got it. He had one side torn in no time which makes the frame come apart since the cover is what holds the frame together. Bottom line if you have a destructive dog like we do it's probably not worth it to you but if your dog Isn't then it's definitely worth the money and time it takes to put it on!This is a good value but it's fairly easy for a destructive dog to tear. Generations of Golden Retrievers approved. Bought this bed for our girl Golden but her 3 sons loved to pile up on it. We have replaced 2 covers but only because our 106 lb. boy Golden thinks it is a puppy trampoline. He is one of the sleeping cuties on the bed. It is good quality, holds up to a lot of abuse, washable.

Durable, comfortable
I've owned the coolaroo bed for about 3 years. My dogs LOVE it, in fact had to order a second recently, because they fuss over who got on the bed first. I have to replace the (inexpensive) cover about once a year, but it stays outside year round exposed to the elements, and there is a lazy dog on it ALL THE TIME.
