This book is a great resource on firearms in all aspects, It is also a fearless espousal of classic values and courage that built this country and made it great....values that Americans held for 200 years, but in modern times are being suppressed and ostracized, being classified as "radical". If you are a "Don't worry, I got this" kind of American, you'll love this book. If you are a "The government needs to do something about this" kind of American, don't bother.

This is an interesting and opinionated book. It's just a pinch short of dictionary size, and contains a lot of excellent rifle analysis. It's a little thin on handgun info, handguns only being something you use to fight your way back to your long gun, in the writers not to humble opinion :) It's earned a long term spot on my bookshelf. Make sure you get one of the updated versions of this book, there are 2008 reprints on the shelf with some new sections.
Invaluable knowledge passed on through this book. Excellent read with experience-based insights and real-world tactical advice. Very easy to get sucked in, and when you're done you realize you know more about civilian guns than nearly everyone you've ever met.
If you are a weapons collector, this book has some valuable information that will help in "not" making a purchase mistake... I consider myself somewhat knowledgable -and- majority of the information is consistent with my experiences...
awesome information in an easy to read format a must have for anybody serious about gun ownership and their freedom
