The piece I received is about 4mm thick. I was hoping for more of a 7oz, but that's ok. It isn't the best veg tan leather, but for the price it will do. Looks like maybe the cut came from the belly. There are imperfections in the leather that show after dying. Not a big deal. I am happy with my purchase, and will look to buying again in the future.
