This is a solid, serviceable pocket knife, not Chinese junk like many are now. Make sure that whatever knife you decide to buy has a stainless steel blade, not cheaper carbon steel that'll rust right away like so many now.

Modern blade steels are complex alloys that try to balance corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, edge retention and brittleness. The carbon steels of yesterday were good at everything but corrosion resistance. Unfortunately, the properties that make steel "stainless" inhibit the other desirable characteristics mentioned above. Today steelmakers have developed advanced alloys that excel in all areas but they are much more expensive.
