NEGATIVES: I paid $24.80USD for first class shipping from the USA to Canada but the package was only shipped two weeks after my order from Canada and arrived three weeks after payment. I could have paid 5 times less given the size of the package for it to arrive at the same time but with Canada Post. All in all, very disappointed with shipping time and costs.

    A great inkjet printer, but of uncertain life span.

    I love the performance and excellent design of PIXMA 1P4300 printers. The clear ink tanks are easy to refill, making color printing very economical. Also, the print head lifts out for easy cleaning. Great printer for double-sided printing. The downside is that they have a frustrating tendency to die from sudden circuit failure. In the last five years I have gone through four of them. Still, I like them better than any other inkjet printer I've used

    getting the printer to a useable state

    The print head was causing an error, I fixed this by replacing it with the print head from my other IP4300. The printer was very dusty and there were no power lead or USB cable. There was no setup disk as I already have the old disk for my other printer, plus the drivers for the IP4300 are already installed on my other PC's that was not a problem. I suggest that would be a problem, for anyone who purchased the printer without the disk or cables.

    Great for greeting cards and picture collages

    So far it is working fine. The only complaint is I have trouble sometimes with the open/close lid staying all the way down and the printer thinks there isn't a correct connection. I put a stack of greeting cards I had made on top of the printer lid and for now it seems to work O.K. Other than that, the color is great as always and for what I do, it works fine. This is the 3rd printer I've had of this same model. The first one lasted for many years. The second one only lasted three years. I hope this one lasts much longer. It's great for greeting cards, picture collages, etc. The delivery was actually early and packed well.

    Sturdy, easy to use, all-purpose printer

    The Pixma iP4300 is reliable, easy to use, and has a number of features that work perfectly with my iMac. This unit has actually retained its value. My favorite features: - Accepts third-party ink replacements - great if you don't want to blow your budget on OEM ink. Most replacements have printer chips already installed. - Attractive print quality with ordinary ink-jet paper, but does a great job printing more expensive stock - Reminders when your ink needs to be refilled - Very easy to use - practically runs itself Other issues: - Not a wireless printer - It's relatively fast - but only once it warms up

    Not all the latest features, but excellent quality and value for the price.

    This is an older PIXMA line of printers by Canon. It doesn’t have the wifi capability and must be hooked to the computer via a USB connection. It is still a very good printer that makes good quality prints of both images and text. If you don’t need wifi, these printers are still very serviceable.

More to explore :
