The film's character is haunted by PTSD from wartime experiences. This is a one-actor-show, Jaimie Scott Gordon is good in the role but is not given much of a storyline to work with. Even Denzel couldn't turn this one around. The plot is 'hallucinogenic minimal' with graphic gore as a plot substitute. The character's descent into madness goes on and on. The repetitious gory eye gouging becomes over the top to the point of tedium. Mindless, random, bloody scenes are simply tiresome. It is not frightening, just repulsive- and you question why you watched it in the first place.
