It does the trick
Product is new as described, well packaged and at a great price. I mount my Current Lights Controller on the back of my aquarium stand. With this said if I have to make adjustments to the lights, I need to pint the remote to the controller at the back of the aquarium. The infrared red sensor allows me to place the sensor at the front of the tank where I can then point my remote and make adjustments to the lights.
