can't need explained.
Much more than the basic meter I bought is the outstanding service I received from the supplier when I thought I had a problem. I have used this type of meter for 10 years now and when they wear out they become erratic so I use a standard reference solution by General Hydroponics to test them it is used to test all types of TDS/EC meters NaC1 scale, 482 scale, and microSiemens scale all that I have tested fall into the NaC1 scale. EXCEPT for this meter, a normal reading should be 1500 PPM this meter for some reason reads 115 ppms but when tested against a meter that will read 1500 ppms it passes within acceptable limits of my much more expensive meter its why I give it a 5 star rating for its cost it is very accurate but just a basic meter.
