      Sage Doorbell Sensor Works Well

      The doorbell sensor is mostly as boring as it should be. Installation was about as easy as it could be for something that needs wiring and a screwdriver: the instructions are helpful, and it has three marked tabs that attach as expected. My Hubitat hub paired with it immediately and found a driver. I had to write a Hubitat notification app, but it was as easy as any and works reliably. I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5, because it does not report battery charge, so I never get any notifications except when someone pushes a doorbell; that means I can't check whether it's connected.

      Not getting it to work with Homey.

      Well, I can not get this to work with Homey. That might be a Homey issue though. I was expecting Zigbee to compatible across platforms, but Homey only recognizes it as a switch, which it is not, at it is therefore useless. I suppose i would need another hardware hub.

      Initially tricky to set up, but is notifying as expected.

      It took a little bit of tinkering to get it to pair and to find the custom device driver for SmartThings. Also the new SmartThings App sees it as a single button but that's okay because we only have a front doorbell. It meets our needs. And the price is right. Highly recommended!

      Good Zigbee Doorbell Sensor.

      It works well with my hub and does what it is supposed to do. I was going to have to replace my doorbell system but when I hook this Sage doorbell sensor to it it made it work as it was supposed to. I like it and would reorder again.
