    This seller sent me the wrong color mandolin. Their listing was based on an old stock photo. I informed them of this right away it and they were very courteous and punctual with their correspondence. I was fine with the finish that I received, although it was not my preferred choice, but they went above and beyond to make this transaction right with me.     Very decent mic for video production

    This is a great boom mic for general video production. We use it with a small phantom power mixer directly into a digital recorder, mounted on a boom pole with shock mount cage and deadcat windscreen. The recorder drives a set of headphones for monitoring (because of its directionality, you'll need to close monitor for best sound). Haven't found a situation that this setup doesn't handle with ease. While you could spend a lot more money for top end gear, a setup like I described is probably more than adequate for 99% of your production needs. We also use the smaller version of this mic on our camcorders for synch audio. All the equipment I mentioned can be found on Ebay at very good prices.

    Great shotgun mic for the money

    Build quality is pretty nice, this mics sensitivity and sound quality is pretty epic holding its ground with much higher end mics of its type. it accepts a single AA battery that acts as its own phantom power and it works very nicely with a recorder such as a Tascam 60D. overall 8/10

    AT8035 is a better shotgun mic value than the $1000 Sennheiser 416

    Although the proper name of this mic doesn't not include the word "cable," make no mistake: It's one heck of a great mic. It's an ideal replacement for the Sennheiser 416 shotgun mic, so popular for sound stages, location shoots and voiceovers in Hollywood, but at 1/4th the price. Buy an AT8035 or its forerunner, the 835b (no difference that I can hear). You'll be glad you did.

    Great buy for the indie film maker on a budget!!

    It's a great buy for the indie film maker! If you're on a budget and want premium sound quality this Mic is just for you. From video to actual film shoots it'll get the job done. AudioTechnica makes great products from dialoug, ADR & foley.
