Item installed very easily on my Garmin Nuvi2589. Just followed the few basic steps in the provided instructions and the map info was recognized immediately. Allowed me to save places of interest etc. will have to wait until I’m in Iceland to know for sure but I see no reason why it wouldn’t function normally. Be aware the item is mailed in a regular letter size envelop, I nearly threw it out with some junk mail because it arrived faster than expected.
