    Doesn't fit the Jennings J-22

    I have two Jennings J-22 pistols and this magazine looks nearly identical to the factory mags but it doesn't work. Not sure what the specific issue is with the mag but the retention button on the bottom of the pistol doesn't grab it so it just falls out of the gun. It seems to be both a bit too fat and too long. If you force it hard enough it sometimes locks but then prevents the slide from moving.

    Works in the Jimenez arms version with a bit of file work

    I have the Jimenez Arms version and this magazine didn't quite fit. The size and shape is identical but the bottom plate is a little thicker than on the magazine that came with the pistol. This means the clip won't lock it in. I used a file and took off a little metal at the edge where the clip is probably an area about 3/16x the width of the magazine. Hit it with some black paint and now it works as it should. Looks like a solid magazine though, actually a little nicer than the oem.

    Terrific Find

    These days it is almost impossible to find a good used magazine for Jennings at a price less than the cost of the gun. To find a new mag at a reasonable price is an early Xmas present.
