    Instructions were a joke even for an experienced builder. Parts are rough and poor wood. Not an easy project. Need to buy $800+ tools to make it good. Send it back and buy a new Martin.

    The kits were good. Most people think it is like putting a model together and is is not. You need special tools. And if they do not realize that they need not to be building a guitar. That is the problem with most people. But the kits have all decent wood, and it is also pretty good wood for kits. I am a Certified Luthier and most of the woods in the kits are at around AA-AAA rating. some times you may find a item with a flaw in it, but that is not all of the time. But the flawed item is still usable. But some guitar companies cannot use a flawed item unless it is under a pick-guard or a sunburst finish to build a $4,000 guitar. But the kits that I have purchased have not had any problem. And that has been seven kits over the years. I do not always us a kit on my guitars but sometimes I ...
