I have two Rode Go systems and a third from a different company. By far, the Rode systems are superior to my other system; they are clear, light weight, easy to use, and indiscreet. I LOVE THEM, and the lava liner is icing on a delicious cake.

I normally love Rode stuff and I have one of their shotgun mics as well as a studio condenser. I purchased a low-cost lavalier mic on eBay last year called a "PoP" mic (that's the brand name), and I compared it side-by-side with the Rode. The Rode sounded muddy, and highs were muted. The sound from the PoP mic was actually better than the Rode. To make sure, I did the test again in another environment (a quieter environment). The Rode still came out second-- at three times the price. I will say the Rode mic has a nicer, thinner cable which uses Kevlar and the mic clip is nicer because it keeps the mic a few millimeters away from your clothing. But there is no way this mic is worth the cost.

I’m very happy with this RODE lav microphone but the wire guide was garbage and snapped off with just a couple uses .
