    Pretty dam fast router plus, highly affordable!

    I have been doing my homework on the newer highspeed wireless router's and this Netgear R6220 rocks... I had a D-Link R615 that was a both G & N wireless network ready that kept losing connection in the next bedroom! This Netgear AC1200 keeps connection no matter where you use it, he'll even in the parking lot of my Condominium... I am currently using it with a Motorola/Arris SB6440 highspeed cable modem that combined is 2-3 times faster than the Xfinity supplied Arris cable modem/router unit, that I returned immediately!     OpenWRT support, under $30, gets the job done.

    Affordable router with great OpenWRT support! You can pick up several for the same cost of a more expensive Linksys option. The main feature you're missing out on, from what I can tell, is removable antennas. The range may also be lacking in comparison to something like the Linksys WRT stuff, but it's worked pretty well for my use-case.

    Great router at a great price

    I decided to buy this router when the router provided to me by my internet company wasn't getting WiFi signal though our 1 story 998 sq ft house. I did alot of reviewing and found mine on eBay used for about 35 bucks. Once it arrived I hooked it up and wow the signal is way better in areas i was struggling to get reception in. It's dual external antennas really help push the WiFi signal. Netgear also has a great app you install on your phone, tablet or iPad where you can manage the router, reboot it etc . It's definitely better than anything your provider is renting you at 10 bucks a month and it's reliable and performs flawlessly

    Great Router!

    Trying to balance price and power, I bought this router for $56. Charter tech came to install my cable, he said they won't support third party routers. Upon checking specs, he exclaimed this was a much better router than the one they rent for $5.00 monthly. So far, it's running the whole house of PC's and TV's and phones, with no issues.
