    The way things were.

    This is a very interesting book with a very detailed description about the advance of the Underground system into what has become to be known as Metroland. It is also sad to see the countryside disappear under housing developments -so todays situation is nothing new. I know the Dollis Hill area reasonably well but to see it as it was earlier with fields, hedges etc. was a shock Excellent book, highly recommended.
