About this product

Product Information

Rooted in traditional Indian folk dance and updated with some modern moves, this fun fitness workout burns fat and builds muscle. Longtime Indian-American fitness guru Sarina Jain developed some easy-to-follow dance routines that mimic the choreography featured in popular Bollywood movies. Bhangra, one of the most popular dances of the Punjab villages, is traditionally performed during the wheat harvest. Performers gather in an open field and follow the beat of the drum, known as the Dhol. The funky, giddy sound has influenced international music and is frequently blended with pop, dance, and hip-hop.

    Bollywood Style

    I love the pace of this workout and with small modifications the degree of difficulty agrees with my 60 yr age range. The energy of the leader, Sarina Jain, is contagious. I bought Volume 3 because I loved the music/drum in the Volume 1 DVD. The drumming of Volume 3 is not inspiring to me and I do not use it.
