A horror classic!
This movie is a horror classic; a must see for the genre. Although, it is a little dated (1973), it will still make you think twice when you are alone at night. I dare you to watch it alone, in the dark.

Don't watch ALONE......
Haven't seen this movie in year's. But now as an adult, and knowing the "secrets" behind the film, to me it was actually funny in parts. The makeup and whatnot were VERY well constructed for the time frame. And if this particular version had been released when it was..The world definitely would NOT have been ready for this kind of "In your face violence, and humility". Linda Blair OWNED the scenes. For such a young girl to play her part with such conviction and determination to make us BELIEVE she had been possessed, Bravo! To my understanding after the movie had wrapped up, the cast got a chance to see it after production. When Linda saw herself on screen that way, she said she was SO terrified of that movie that she could NOT sleep without all the lights on ... Haven't seen this movie in year's. But if you're ready to face your own inner fears, this is a tough love good way to start!

The Director's Cut is too graphic to watch with my five-year-old grandson who loves horror films. He was bummed when I told him he couldn't watch it.
