Unreliable Unreliable
Sorry to be a spoiler, but I got one of these as a Christmas gift from my kids and it did not work. I went online and found Dissim’s fix video on YouTube and it still did not work. To their credit, Dissim sent me a replacement. After about a month somehow it started lighting reliably. I was very happy because I love the look and feel and functionality of this lighter. I am a regular pipe smoker. Just this morning, it just completely stopped working again. It will spark but the spark does not hit the stream of butane. I can hold down the striker and light it with a match and it works fine. Simply, the lighter is not designed and manufactured in a way that results and reliability. It worked great for three months and I absolutely loved it, but I am done. In fact, the reason I came across this listing is because I am looking for a replacement ASAP. One thing is for sure, it will not be another Dissim. I am one to heartily support and celebrate start ups and entrepreneurs, but this one is a bust. I see that there are only two other reviews here. I urge you to look for reviews elsewhere before buying this product. You will see a long list of reviews like this one mixed in with a few five star reviews . I guess those guys got lucky. However it is very clear that there is a flaw with this product. I hope they get it right.
