Design flaw?
Several Lee molds I've tried seem to have rather shallow grease lube grooves. In a 230 grain round nose mold (45 ACP) I bought recently, the narrow and shallow grease grooves seem to be causing excess pressure. This wadcutter bullet in .357 caliber has shallow and narrow grease groove, but I haven't had the opportunity - yet - to fire them. I am also disappointed in the Lee wadcutter bullets lack of fine detail in the area of the foreword nipple. This particular mold also tends to cast a very wide range of weights. Ill try other calibers next time with Lee.
First Lee mold I've used. Light weight, easy on my old wrists, heats up quickly and over all functions very well.

Worked great
Smoked it up with my acetylene torch and went to work. Made 1000 wad cutters in a couple of hours using free wheel weights! Who wouldn’t like that?

Money well spent
Very easy mold to cast with. Only thing I did was clean with solvent then smoke the cavity's. Have hot plate handy to heat up the mold while lead melts.

New or little used Lee molds
They are good but if you check on the web about them they do need some clean up from the machining Lee does to make them. There are left over burrs the Lee leaves on them and don't for get to do a really good smoke job on them.
