Genji: Days of the Blade is a Dynasty Warriors-style action game set in feudal Japan. This follow-up to 2005's Genji: Dawn of the Samurai offers more expansive environments, fighting moves, and playable characters than its PlayStation 2 predecessor. The storyline once again follows lead protagonist Genkuro Yoshitsune as he battles the rival Heishi clan using swordplay and team-oriented combination moves. Unlike the original game, players can now freely switch between four characters, to use each combatant's distinct skills and abilities against enemy troops and boss characters. The technology behind PlayStation 3 allows for detailed battlefields, naval warfare, and horseback riding, as hundreds of warriors engage each other in hack-and-slash combat. Revered swordsman Mitsuhiko Seike helped choreograph the fighting sequences and provided the motion-captured maneuvers in the game. Genji: Days of the Blade is estimated to offer more than 15 hours worth of sword-swinging skirmishes for solo samurai.

The Beats headphones work and were packaged well. However, as one of the higher priced sellers of this item, they were shipped late (11 days) with no contact from the seller beyond a tracking number showing it parked for 5 days moving nowhere. The product I received was far worse cosmetically than anything pictured or described. Unfortunately since your item for sale stated that "NO Returns" are accepted, I'll be cleaning and detailing these headphones far more than what I believe I paid for.

It came in a bubble mailer and was wrapped in bubble wrap with a piece of cardboard to protect the display. Shipping was pretty fast. That's a nice roster of fighters, especially considering their individual strengths. The additional characters and weapons certainly help, as does the flexible combat system. The game also offers amazing vistas and epic boss fights. Regardless of how someone dresses a corpse, though, it’s still a corpse. And that’s the main problem here. Beneath the gleaming surface lies an old heart that’s just about had it. Days of the Blade gets half the formula right. Sadly, it’s the wrong half. In the end, fans of the original should take a look, but anyone looking for a true next-generation action title will need to wait.

Cool for older kids!
My husband bought this PS3 game for our twelve-year old boy. I have not played the game myself, but I have watched my son play it a lot. My concern with video games for his age group is always blood, gore and sex. He is kind of in-between games rated E-T. I really try hard to monitor every kind of media my son and his two younger brothers view, while being realistic about what is out there and what could actually be detrimental to their upbringing. This game does have a couple of bad words in it, which I don't like, but they are not among society's most "horrible" bad words. The thing about T-rated games, my husband explained to me, is that the skill level is more up to my son's level. Good game
The graphics are great.... the transition between the gameplay and the cut scenes seems smooth... Its the first time I have seen gameplay that switches between the characters of the game and that too can be done with such ease... The game though seems to be have been designed with just one intent... too many enemies... Sometimes it feels like there are just too many to handle... The camera angles is the worst part of the game... But i guess its bearable !!! The final battle though is disappointment, could have been a lot better !!
