Fred Hayman has greatly contributed in creating the luxury shopping destination now present on Rodeo Drive. Known as “Mr. Beverly Hills”, he offered a large selection of designer clothes and set high standards in the fashion industry. His club-like shop was often visited by celebrities and wealthy Californians. In 1981 Fred Hayman launched his first fragrance – Giorgio Beverly Hills for women, perfectly matching the era’s glamorous fashions. It gained great success and in 1987 was sold to Avon for an astounding $165 Million.
