Battery fits my Acer Aspire 5253 perfectly. New battery did arrive completely uncharged, so strongly recommend charging it up (at least partially) before using your computer. Once partially charged, it will charge up completely while the computer is on. So far, so good! I chose this vendor as the battery has a 5-year warranty (others only 3 years; could not find anything longer than 1 year on Amazon). Living in Nevada, delivery was fast from Ontario CA - just 2 days. :-)
