Once partially charged, it will charge up completely while the computer is on. So far, so good! I chose this vendor as the battery has a 5-year warranty (others only 3 years; could not find anything longer than 1 year on Amazon). Living in Nevada, delivery was fast from Ontario CA - just 2 days. :-)
